As a child of the 80s I tend to shy away from anything very 80s in style. I was born in 1980 so every picture of me as a child has me in some fashion nightmare or another! However, I saw this top yesterday on the sale rack and couldn't resist. I love the colour and the cut but I did have to hunt out my clear bra straps to cope with the drapey neckline.
We had a lunch out yesterday for my Mother-in-law's 70th birthday. On the advice of my most trusted fashion advisor I gave leggings a go. Still not entirely convinced but it did make this dress decent which is always a good thing. No photo from today because Pips woke up with a rash that looks suspiciously like chicken pox. Just seeing how it develops. If it is this week is going to be such a washout. My poor baby has her 3rd birthday on Thursday and her birthday treat is to go to the circus on Friday. If it is indeed the pox we won't be able to do any of that which is such a shame.
Back to normal here - school started yesterday and whilst I love having my babies at home I won't deny that it was absolute bliss having a couple of hours to myself yesterday afternoon while they were all in school/preschool.
Excuse the laundry behind me! We have had an incredibly stressful few days with our house sale falling through and then thankfully being sorted out. I haven't been thinking about anything else, let alone what I was wearing. This outfit is from last Thursday evening when I had a reunion with the parents and babies from my last antenatal group.
I changed up the trousers and shoes ready for my first jewellery party. It went really well and I'm looking forward to doing lots more. If you're interested check out my website for more details.

We have friends over for a takeaway, lots of alcohol and playing on Rock Band. Thought I'd better tame the mane and make a bit pof an effort.
As the weather is warming up, the shorts have made a reappearance. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can to shorts and no tights. Summer comfort! The children are off school this week and next for the Easter holidays so comfort and practicality are a must. It's off to the park with us this afternoon and I have never been able to resist playing on the swings and climbing frames with them.
All red accessories today. Nothing much planned....saw Al complete his first 10k for a lot of years and watching the GP. Perfect Sunday. The photo is not taken in the best place but our neighbour is cutting down a tree and can see into our garden. He already thinks I'm weird enough without seeing me posing and taking pics of myself!
