Nice to have a change of scenery for today's picture, Alan decided he would take over photographer duties for today. Book Hunt

Chilling out this weekend, I do need to go on a hunt for a decent sized bookshop though. It's the one thing my town is really lacking. Managed to get an enormous blister on Thursday from the green shoes so giving my poor foot a rest with some flipflops today.

Rejected!

Well, college enrollment did not go well, I am overqualified and now have to rethink my options. Very frustrating. The small people have broken my scales at home so I can't tell properly but think I have lost weight because I now have to hold my jeans up with something. Today I have a scarf tied round like a belt. Changing shape/size is really annoying because I can't wear things I love. Good excuse for more shopping though!

Tank Tops

I was looking through some old pictures and came across some real fashion nightmares that I used to wear and love. Might even put together a post of some of these monstrosities. It made me think, I remember as a child that tank tops and flares were the height of bad taste (I am a child of the 80s!). Funny how it all comes round again and here I am in a tank top! Couldn't resist another outing for the new boots.

Bargain Boots

My 50p bargain ebay boots arrived today. They are awesome! I've not tried rolling these jeans to make crops but it seems to work. They don't fit all that well, I have trouble with cheap jeans because the waist is always too big if it will go round my hips, must go on the hunt for some more Next ones which just fit so much better.

Watched a Panorama on Primark and child labour in India last night and was relieved to hear that boycotting was not the answer.

Pale and Interesting

I seem to be drawn to pairing this top with a dark coloured bottom half so thought I would try lighter colours today. I am very pale skinned anyway so do worry that I blend in with the outfit!

Stealing from children

Saw The Edge of Love last night, it was really good. We were late though and Alan found it highly amusing seeing me trying to walk fast in my wiggle dress!

We are just monging around at home doing housework today so totally relaxed clothes. I nicked this vest from my sons drawer because he never wears them and it looked about the right size.

Dark Floral

Dedicated to the Blog

Not entirely convinced by today's ensemble. I wouldn't usually wear trousers without heels but my foot, although much better, is still too painful for anything other than flipflops. It's too cold for a skirt which would go with the shoes better and tights just don't work with a toe post lol! It did occur to me though that I am clearly very dedicated to this blogging because I looked rough yesterday and not much better today but still posting!!!!

My daughter is making an appearance today - everytime she saw me set up the camera she came running to pose with me. She manages to look gorgeous everday without fail (although maybe I am a little biased!)

Ouch!

Well, this is an outfit built around the footwear! Managed to drop and smash a jug on my foot last night and these sandals are all I can wear without being in a lot of pain :-( It's the one and only time I have regretted switching my automatic car for a manual!

Another Summer Dress

Never really been much into wearing summer dresses before this year but absolutely loving them at the moment. So cool and comfy and a bit more feminine than shorts and vests. Was quite surprised how long my hair had got when I straightened it this morning!

I hate taking pics on the weekends, Alan always watches and makes me laugh! Tried fake tanning my legs this morning so jeans are a must just in case I develop weird stripes whilst I'm out. Hadn't realised how much weight I'd lost off my legs - these boots are quite big on me now........oh dear, what a shame I must go boot shopping :-)

Summer Dress

Not exactly summery weather but I realised I don't actually own a cardigan so had to go with the dress as it is, yet another thing to go on the list of things I could do with. I am in desperate need of a haircut - I can barely see because of my fringe! I cut it myself but did a terrible job last time so going to have to get it done properly. I tend to only get a haircut every 6 - 12 months so probably about time given that my last cut was in October last year!!

I also bought a shoe rack after my husband getting totally fed up of falling over my shoes. I'm surprised I only have 21 pairs - definitely space for a few more!!!

If you don't like the weather.....

Well today is classic British weather - if you don't like it wait 5 minutes and it'll be completely different. Very difficult to dress for days like today. Got this waistcoat in the post from ebay today along with a pair of matching cropped trousers which are a bit on the small side. Only cost me 99p though so I am happy. These shoes are so fab that they are turning into my daily favourite. The skirt is not looking that great with the bruises on my legs but what the hell!

Domesticated!

The house is looking like a pigsty so got an exciting day of cleaning and tidying ahead of me. These jeans are incredibly stretchy so really comfy for doing housework in. The top is just really comfy and flowy. The babydoll shape is not one I tend to go for but this one is short enough not to make me look pregnant (even though I did actually buy it to disguise a baby bump!).

Super Sexy Dress

There's something about this dress that just makes me feel totally sexy - love it! Just what every girl needs on a boring Tuesday morning when the window fitters are coming. It doesn't need anything with it I don't think, just fabby on it's own.

Race Day

Here we are at Silverstone watching motor racing. Fabulous day but could have done with some sleeves to stop my shoulders burning. Even with factor 50 I am now an attractive shade of pink!

Baby Naming

Feeling a bit 50s

Got a bit of a 50s thing going on at the moment. Totally loving hourglass figures, cinched in waists and, I won't lie, am lusting after another tightlacing corset because mine is a little too big. Not that I have anywhere to wear it anyway and if I start turning up at the school gates in a corset I think I may have gone too far!!!

Not very exciting

Not a very exciting outfit today. Same as the last one I posted but with black boots. It is absolutely pouring with rain today so not wearing anything I can't run in to do the school runs! Am on the hunt for a new raincoat and also a new jacket. Need something that will go with my stuff as a casual/going out jacket, but desperate for something waterproof for days like today and not quite ready to go out in a cagoul! Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
