I have been trying these self tanning moisturisers and although they have made a noticeable difference I am still a ridiculously pale colour. I might as well just accept that I have really pale skin and stop trying to hope for some miraculous change. I blame these magazines full of women with beautiful brown endless legs for setting up and unrealistic ideal.

Aww, don't tan, you look perfect as is. But I understand what you're saying as I'm ultra pale year round. :D
which ones have you tried? I use johnsons for normal to darker skin, and find it gives me quite a good colour after about 3 applications from pasty White :-)
I'm exactly the same my legs are like milk bottles :'(
I use the Johnsons one, usually on holiday as its great for making your "tan" more noticable!
Make up is the way to go. Boots do an instant tan make up that Amber reviewed on Hey! Dollface last year. And there's no fake tan smell.
don't worry about tanning. At least you don't freckle like me :(
I have been using the Dove one and it seems to have done the trick after about 3 applications. Just enough to take the glowing white edge off but not too much to make me look unnatural.
Sher - I do freckle lots too!
