It's a bit chilly this morning but warming up so I'll brave the bare legs. I found my old disorganised mum t-shirt too - I used to run a parenting community website and had this T-shirt printed up for advertising purposes.

Relaxing Saturday

Got a fairly relaxing weekend ahead here. I had a lovely long lie in this morning, then off to my Mother-in-Law's for lunch. From there we headed for the weekly trawl round Tesco and now I am back home watching the F1 qualifying we Sky+'d earlier, eating the Parkin I baked last night and enjoying a lovely cup of tea.

Life has resumed normality now with weekly coffee with the girls. I've really missed it over the Summer holidays. I'm hosting next week though so better start the cleaning now!! Monday Mornings Suck!

I loved the outfit from Saturday so much I thought another shorts/tights combo was in order today. It's so nice to have the comfort of shorts and the warmth of tights. And to my sister who told me when I laughed at the trend last year that I would be wearing it soon enough - you were right, I was wrong....enjoy the moment it won't happen often!!!

Sunday Funday Cowgirl

Well yesterday was pixie, today is cowgirl! Not a very exciting day, this morning we have done a Tesco shop and Jamie has been to a birthday party. This afternoon I'm going to try to sneak off on my own to mooch round the shops in the next town along because they have an H&M which I love and I need a break from the kids - and then my parents are coming over for a Sunday Roast (Gammon - yummy!). Thought I'd put on something a bit fun to cheer me up.

What a Bargain!

Well what a great shopping trip - managed to get 7 pairs of tights (5 for me, 2 for the little lady) for £3.75 in Woolworths. Not only that but I discovered that they now have a peacocks upstairs there :-)
I also went into priceless shoes and got these awesome purple boots for £2!!

And these grey shoe boots for £2.50!

And even better Philippa loved swimming and I managed not to drown her.

Swimming and Shopping

Well I don't know if I dare to admit this but my daughter has never been swimming, so now her brothers are at school I am going to brave it and take her. The real question is though - how does a child who's never swum end up with 5 swimming cossies? After swimming we are going shopping for tights both for me and her. I bet it's easier to find funky ones in Pips size than mine!

Cowboy Boots

I am being increasingly drawn to buying a pair of cowboy boots to be my winter walking boots for this year. I need some new flattish boots I can do school running and stuff in. Whilst I can and have done it in my long black boots it's a 2 mile round trip over an evil hill so I wouldn't want to have to do it often in them.

So, will cowboy boots go with my usual style and what colour would be best? Or should I just step away from the cowboy boots altogether?

At the 'Summer' Funday

Here I am at the Summer Funday - not much Summer to be seen! My best friend and her husband came round last night for a movie night and she was wearing her fuggs. It reminded me about mine and I couldn't resist the urge to wear them today - they just feel like slippers! Have had to throw out almost all of my jumpers this morning, was looking through them and they are all ruined, misshapen or too big. Have been left with only one jumper I can wear and it's 12 years old and has seen me through three pregnancies!

Rainy and miserable

It's is horrible weather here. I'm definitely going to have to find another pair of long boots this winter. I don't think these will last if I carry on wearing them as much as I do. Just recycling the jeans from last night - I love the smoking ban it means I can wear my jeans to the pub and still wear them the next day without them stinking.

Back to School

Well, the interview is over so I'm back to my more relaxed style. Have managed to keep going with Jamie's Challenge of dressing in your teams colours all day. Now it is understandable that people may think I am a spurs fan given the occasions on which my spurs T-shirt has appeared on this blog. However, that is purely in the name of matrimonial harmony and my true allegiance lies with the Mighty Man Utd. My dad will be so proud to hear me say that!
