Basse Mode

Where do you get your fashion inspiration? I for one love the fashion shows and high fashion brands but see it more as art, great to look at but not something 'real'. The only real effect it has on my personal fashion is introducing new trends which eventually filter down to the high street stores where I buy my clothes. What really inspires me day to day is the fellow bloggers out there and the people I see out and about, both those who push the boundaries and also those who rock jeans almost every day. We come in every conceiveable shape, size, colour and style and yet each of us is trying to make the best of ourselves in the real world. This is where I get ideas and learn about how to flatter my own shape and colouring.

Three fellow bloggers have decided to do something unique and are working towards launching a low fashion magazine, filled with real day to day fashion. I am totally behind them and would love for you to support their efforts. You can find out more here.

So what do you think? Do you get your inspiration from bloggers, or people on the streets, or is high fashion what drives your choices?

I don't really follow fashion at all. I like it and enjoy it, but when it cones to dressing myself I just wear what I like. I tend to base my outfits more around colour than what is in vogue at the time.

I live the idea of a "low fashion" magazine, I'll be intrigued to see it :-)
