Just a quiet chilling out day, went to see a friend for a cuppa, did loads of paperwork for our housemove and did a few errands. I was looking for comfort, hence the mock crocs - however I can say in all honesty that for crocs it's worth paying the money for the real thing. They are so much more comfortable.

It's miserable weather here again today. I did wear turquoise flip flops earlier but they were totally weather inappropriate.

What a day!

This is not the outfit I started the day in. I was wearing my long denim skirt, but had a bit of an incident on the early morning school run which involved me, rather embarassingly, falling flat on my arse into a load of mud! So this is the rather cleaner and drier me. I have however realised that my 'fat' jeans are now fitting rather too well without a belt, it's weird how every year I put on weight over the winter time. As an avid lover of suet puddings and proper winter food it's no juge surprise, but hopefully now the weather is a little warmer I can get out walking much more again and get back into the rest of my clothes.

Making an effort

No pic from yesterday, I went for a training walk (training for this), and never got round to changing out of my joggers.

Thought I ought to start including pics of my outerwear as well as my outfits. It's sunny here but still cold. I am braving bare legs in the cold at the moment because it's acceptable to have scarily white legs at this time of year but if I don't get some colour on them before Summer I could blind passing drivers with the glare off them when the sun is at full strength!!

Early Mothers Day

We've been celebrating Mothers Day a day early today because we have a ridiculously busy day tomorrow, with a visit to a show house in the design of our current house in Gloucester and then off to Bristol for my grandparents diamond wedding anniversary celebrations. I can't imagine being married to someone for 60 years! We have had my mother-in-law round for roast lunch and plan on chilling out for the rest of the day. The kids made me some lovely cards and gave me flowers. They also gave me this pinny, so it looks like I've finally made it!

Whoops....these fell into my trolley

These accidently fell into my trolley on the way round Tesco and as Mr K is unable to resist my pleading he bought them for me. I have actually never had a pair of wedges before so will see how I go with them. I have lots of outfits planned around them already.

More cowgirl style

Couldn't resisit wearing the new boots again. I had a bit of a creative moment last night and chopped the sleeves off this shirt dress. They were way too tight round my man-arms. Loving the layered look and hopefully I will now get more wear out of this dress. As you can see it's a beautifully warm and sunny day here, so we are giving the garden a bit of a tidy up. Going for a walk up to my parents later so Al can watch the Spurs match every little bit of walking helps towards my training.

Tired and Grumpy

I am hoping the grumpiness will lift once I've been up for more than 45 minutes and had a brew! Mad rush to get the kids to school but I just could not get out of bed this morning. This as a classic grab the first thing out of the drawer type outfit.

Emotional Day

I thought I would be jumping for joy when this day arrived, but I couldn't help feeling a bit lost when I dropped the young lady at preschool for her first day on her own. She was a little star though and went in without a worry at all about leaving me.

We are off to TKMaxx this afternoon and I have to try not to buy anything!

Swimming and Sunny

Took Pippa swimming this morning and am very proud of my little fish jumping in the pool. She is theclosest any of my kids have come to actually swimming so I am having a Proud Mummy Moment!

It is a beautiful day today but sadly I have only one job and that is to trek around Tesco and do the weekly shop. Ah well, at least it gives me and Pips lots of time to look at things for the new house.

1 Skirt 3 Ways Day 1

I am taking part in Jane's 1 Skirt 3 Ways Challenge I had to choose this skirt because even though I should really throw it away I just love it and can't bring myself to part with it. I really hope Primark are selling them again this Summer. I plan to do one smarter casual look (today), one very casual look and one party look. Sally at Already Pretty was talking about how sexy a miniskirt and tights makes you feel and she is totally right. I always feel sexy but not totally tarty when I pull on an outfit like this.

Well, it's been a manically busy few days with house moving stuff but I am finally back in the land of the living. I bought this dress and tights with my birthday money. My Mum was shocked at this dress, she couldn't believe I had actually bought something of a sensible length!!
