Being the shy retiring girl that I am (haha) it took only seconds for me to get on board with a boudoir photo shoot with the amazing Tracy Morter. She is absolutely fantastic and made the day so much fun as well as giving me photos I will treasure forever. If you are looking for a photographer in the Essex/London area then I really can't recommend her highly enough. So here's a selection of pics from the day, and before you ask, no you can't see the rest of them!!

Well, as of tomorrow I am going to be working full time. It's the first time since before I was a student (over 11 years!!) that I will have worked full-time in an office. This is what I wore today on this hugely significant day when my youngest baby started school. It would have looked better with black tights but I haven't got any for the winter yet so had to make do without. Today has been an incredibly odd day. For the first time since I was at Uni I have no children at home during the day and need to start to think about what I actually want to do with the rest of my life. It's a scary place to be.

But for now today is about my beautiful baby girl, Philippa who made her first appearance on the blog at nearly two and has grown from this little dot....

The Intrinsic Link between the Inside and Outside

I've not been blogging much recently and it mainly boils down to the fact I'm having something of an identity crisis which has nothing to do with fashion at all, but to do with me and where I fit in. It's made me see that I dress to suit my mood and personality but also the position I see myself in in society. At the moment I just dont know where I do fit in and it has made it basically impossible for me to be creative with my outfits at all. Even putting on a simple t-shirt and jeans fills me with doubt over whether it is a good colour or shape on me. Everything feels up in the air and I don't have the confidence to post pictures of outfits that I just don't feel right in and at the moment that's pretty much every outfit I wear.

I'd never really realised just how linked the two were. Usually I'm of the 'fake it til you feel it' camp but I don't even know where I want to be so can't fake being there already to give me the confidence to dress myself appropriately.

Is it just me who literally wears my emotions?

I've been after a maxi dress for ages and saw this one in the sale at New Look yesterday so snapped it up. Miraculously it doesn't make me look pregnant although there is a certain something Margot (The Good Life) about it which I love.

Had to do a quick alteration to it to add straps rather than a halter tie but now that's done I'm really chuffed with it.

I've had an exciting few days. Went to see Bon Jovi on Wednesday (who were AMAZING!). Then on Thursday I had the coolest day on a photoshoot for the Tesco Magazine. It was truly astounding to see just how much goes into getting 5 pictures for the magazine. I was there with three other fab mums (Emily, Erica and Jessica - check out their blogs). We had hair and make up done and were dressed in lovely co-ordinating outfits. I don't think I've ever smiled quite so much for the camera - I had some serious face ache going on. So this is me at the shoot - Jessica has a great shot on her blog too.

Since then, various things have been occupying my mind more than clothes, but hopefully posting will resume from tomorrow.
